  • August 22

    Canal Street String Band
    6:30 pm Performance to be held outside on the grounds of the Fenton History Center. The museum will be open for tours and refreshments will be available before the concert. In addition, the band will lead a jam session at the conclusion of the performance. Those interested in participating in the jam session should bring their own instruments to join the fun. Admission to the performance is free.

    Brown Bag Lecture Series
    Topic: The Fenton Archaeology Project: Year 3.
    Come hear about an important part of Jamestown's history during the lunch hour. Noon to 1 PM. Donations encouraged. Meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month April through October at the Fenton Mansion.
  • September 20-21

    Blue and Gray 2014
    Members of the 9th Cavalry NY volunteers and the 155th NY Volunteers will be encamped at the Fenton Mansion and welcoming the community to learn about the life and times of the Union soldier. Sat. 10-4, Sun 10-3.
  • October 4 & 11

    9th Annual "Saints and Sinners" Lake View Cemetery Tours
    From 3 pm until 8 pm stepping off throughout the day and evening. At historic Lake View Cemetery, corner of Buffalo St. and Lakeview Ave., Jamestown. Horse drawn carriage and walking tours available. The tour will uncover some of the more than 43,000 personal stories at Jamestown's beautiful Lake View Cemetery. Be ready to learn some interesting information about Jamestown and Lake View Cemetery. Presale: $10 for adults, $2 for children & youth; half price for Fenton History Center members. Carriage rides: $18 all seats, Reservations are required; please call 664-6256 to reserve your tickets and time slot. Call early as the later tours fill up fast!

    Mausoleum Tours and More at Lake View Cemetery
    A guided behind-the-scenes tour of a number of the elegant mausoleums and gravesites in Jamestown's 1859 cemetery. Costumed actors tell the family stories. Light refreshments follow the tour. 8 PM. The cost is $20 for potential members, $15 for members. Youth and children are $5. Reservations are requested; please call 664-6256 to reserve your tickets.

    35th Annual Holiday exhibit - Members Only Sneak Preview
    4-7 PM. New members welcome, join and see the exhibit for FREE.
  • November 28

    35th Annual Holiday exhibit opens to the public. through January 19, 2015
