Dear Wife
Your letter of the 3rd is received and i am glad to hear from you once more
and that you are all well I was sorry to hear that you had herd such bad news
of me but thank god i am among the living and improving as fast as can be
expected under the circumstances of my wound my helth is gitting better and
my wound is healing fast...
