Dear Wife
...you say that Wm Scott is home on furlow, he took french leave on his way
to join the regiment & if he returns soon it will be all well, if not
he will after go to the deserters heaven (Canada) still thare is no danger
of being shot for desertion of that kind especially the first offence...
