Dear Wife
...I am glad to hear that your health is still improving and hope that you
will be careful with your health the greatest blessing in adversity. I should
have liked to have been to that donation party verry well but it will not
do for a soldier in the field especially in the winter to indulge too much
in the thoughts of home and society and the comforts to be enjoyed thare for
it only serves to make him dissatisfied with his lot which he cannot change...
