Important Audience Information for those attending.

Imagine sitting in a Victorian cemetery on a beautiful summer's night when the "residents" who live in the cemetery begin appearing in the distance, assemble in front of you, and one by one divulge the secrets their lives held, their innermost thoughts and regrets, and share the turmoil which filled their lives.

If this sounds intriguing, the Fenton History Center and the Lake View Cemetery Association invite you to be a part of the successful new adaptation of Edgar Lee Master's American classic Spoon River Anthology which will take place July 26-31, live, at night in The Lake View Cemetery.

Prior to the performance patrons will be treated to a short tour of the cemetery lead by the Fenton History Center docents. New this year! We are planning on integrating this production with workshops at bothe the Jamestown community college and The James Prendergast Library. The workshop is geared to enhance the audience's understanding of The Spoon River Project as a piece of literature both before and after they experience the performance.

The Spoon River Project Workshop

The community is invited to learn about the Fenton History Center and Lake View Cemetery's production of The Spoon River Project. The free workshop will introduce key pieces from the newly adapted theater piece. The show is directed and adapted by local son Tom Andolora, who along with cast members, will discuss the classic writing of Edgar Lee Masters. The workshop will be on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM in the Prendergast Library's Fireside Room.
