Fenton Canteen: Veterans of all ages are invited to join members of the Vets Finding Vets for coffee the second Saturday of each month from 10 AM to 12 PM.
The Fenton History Center’s research center, located at 73 Forest Avenue in Jamestown, New York in the historic Hall House, is handicap accessible. Service dogs are welcome.
June 14th: 12 PM to 1 PM: 242nd Birthday of the U.S. Army/Flag Day: Honor the U.S. Army’s 242nd Birthday, Flag Day, and help us welcome Steve Trask, Vietnam War Veteran, on June 14th from 12 PM to 1 PM.
In addition to recognizing Flag Day and the 242nd birthday of the U.S. Army, Trask, who was enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1969 will share details of his experience during his enlistment.
As an E-5 (a Non Commissioned Officer) he completed Special Forces Training in Ft. Devens, Massachusetts, Airborne Training in Ft. Bragg, Texas, Ranger Training in Arizona, Winter Survival Training in Klondike, Alaska and Jungle Training in Panama before he served in Vietnam in 1968, three days before the Tet Offensive.

Talks begin promptly at noon and end by 1 PM. Food and drink is permitted. Donations are not required but will be graciously accepted.

June 24th: Naval Park Visit: Members of the Fenton History Center’s Vets Finding Vets will set out to visit the Buffalo Naval Park.
July 22nd at 2 PM: Local World War II Veteran Panel at JCC’s Scharmann Theater: Back by popular demand! Please join us in welcoming local World War II Veterans on July 22 at 2 PM at the Scharman Theatre. This event is open to the public, free and will be of interest to all age groups. August 19th: D-Day Reenactment: Members of the Fenton History Center’s Vets Finding Vets are to attend a D-Day Reenactment in Conneaut, Ohio. Businesses, civic groups and individuals who are interested in alleviating transportation and other expenses for this trip should email firstname.lastname@example.org.

September 23rd: Washington D.C. Honor Flight: Members of the Fenton History Center’s Vets Finding Vets will travel to Washington D.C. to observe an Honor Flight.
